Kotegoda village celebrates 73rd Independence Day. AJ.M Hisham, Kotegoda. Hemmathagama

Kotegoda village people have celebrated the 73rd Independence Day today in a grand style with the participation of Kotegoda Mosque committees, madarasa children, school children and villagers. This magnificent celebration took place today in the surroundings of Kotegoda Jummah mosque. This program was organised under theme of nation building process of the  prosperous Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan government is taking all measures to develop this nation with the support of all communities.

The Buddhist religious leadership of diffident Chapters have called upon the government of Sri Lanka to unite all communities to build a prosperous Sri Lanka. The Muslim community across the country has been celebrating to show our solidarity with this nation. This celebration function was done under leadership of A.C. M Azhar. The president of Kotegoda Jummah mosque.  A tree planting event took place to mark this special day.

This is done to display to our loyalty and commitment to this nation. The Muslim community has been contributing greatly to this nation in many fields. History testifies that the Muslim community has made a great contribution to this nation in the field of trade, business, diplomacy, and other areas. So, it is high time for the Muslim community to share their sentimental feeling towards this nation. In politics any thing could change so, holding any political grudge is not good at all. We are living as the second minority community in Sri Lanka so, we should engage positively in all aspects of nation building process in this country .
